Docusparrow:

The recent addition of file upload capability to Sparrow, coupled with the "pagelink" feature of Sparrow that creates and links to new Sparrow pages, allows Sparrow to mimic the basic functionality of Docushare.* Thus this example Sparrow page allows you to upload documents or point to existing URLs, and also to create folders which are, essentially, empty versions of this page that can be populated with documents and subfolders.
When you add a new item, you'll notice fields to specify a document (by URL or upload) and a checkbox for creating a new folder. You should only fill in one of these. (Creating a folder will override adding a document, and uploading a document will override specifying a URL.)
Currently, all entries are automatically sorted by modification date. Clicking "Sort Alphabetically" will do the obvious thing.
Note that everything on this page is done with Sparrow -- ie, just writing templates in the HTML of the page. I didn't add any additional code to the core Sparrow app. I did create a new field type for the modification date (about 5 lines of code), and modified link fields to optionally display an image of the document type.

Of course, Docushare has numerous features beyond just holding folders of documents.
